The 59 Best Beauty Looks From Milan Fashion Week

While the clothes may draw much of the attention during Milan Fashion Week, it’s the beauty details accompanying the collections that can transform a look into an absolute moment. During the Spring 2024 shows, that proved to be the case, from the thick, angular eyeliner at Jil Sander to the parade of bow hair accessories at Versace and the larger-than-life floral manis at Moschino.

The season’s standout makeup looks included vibrant eye makeup that resembled flowers in bloom at Shuting Qiu; artfully smudged eye shadow at Blumarine and Cormio (orange and blue, respectively); and rosy, exaggerated blush at MSGM. Makeup artist Pat McGrath helmed the beauty look at Versace, where she channeled inspiration from the ’60s into pastel blue and matte orange swipes of eye shadow hovering in the creases and lower brow bones, accented with exaggerated, Twiggy-esque lashes and muted lip colors.

The dominant hair theme of the week was sleekness: Variations on slicked-back looks made appearances at a number of shows, with Prada, Moschino and Max Mara all opting for the gel-heavy trend. But maximalist hair accessories — from scarves to oversized bows — were also trending on the Milan runways, at shows like Vivetta and Versace.
