It’s a big news week over here at Vogue: Our beloved and fearless leader Chioma will be taking the reins at British Vogue, and we could not be more thrilled for her, nor could there be a better person for the job. The native Londoner will head back home next month to start in her new role—but don’t worry, she promises she’ll still make time for the podcast whenever she can!
On today’s episode we chat with Chioma about what it feels like to be returning to the UK after 20 years as a New Yorker, her first fashion memories, and our favorite headline of the week: “The Devil Wears Sambas.”
We also chatted with British Vogue’s Deputy Director, Global Fashion Network, Laura Ingham, about London Fashion Week—from JW Anderson’s plasticine hoodies, to Burberry’s checkered tent, to Erdem’s Debo Mitford tribute. Laura said London feels like it’s in full swing this back-to-school season; mid-interview she even got a calendar reminder that she had to head off to the first of three fashion events of the evening!
