Round 1
We’re midway through perhaps the most anticipated WNBA Finals in league history, with the New York Liberty fighting back from 2-0 down to force a Game 4 against the Las Vegas Aces. And all year, the W has been electric. That’s thanks, of course, to the level of play on the court. But it’s also due, at least in small part, to the WNBA’s stars’ embrace of pregame fashion. That’s right: the WNBA has been giving every other league serious competition when it comes to tunnel fits. And so, with the 2023 WNBA champ set to be crowned shortly, we’d like your help in giving a different sort of award. Welcome to GQ’s annual Most Stylish WNBA Player tournament.
The 16-player bracket is stacked; there might not be an easy matchup among them. Still, there are highlights: Aces star Kelsey Plum, busy fighting for a real-world championship, will also defend her 2022 Most Stylish crown, while perennial style all-stars like Shatori Walker-Kimbrough, Breanna Stewart, and Arike Ogunbowale will try to knock her off. The league’s 16 strongest fit connoisseurs face off, starting now, in a five-day, five-round competition to determine the league’s best-dressed player. Each round lasts for 24 hours, and it’ll all take place on GQ Sports’ Instagram. Cast your vote every day, check back here for updates, and stick around to see who hoists the GQ Most Stylish WNBA Player trophy at the final buzzer.
