Thorsun is looking for Fall ’23 social media and ecommerce operations interns to work in a unique role reporting directly to the brand’s founder. We are searching for bright, fashion-loving, and driven individuals with some knowledge of the fashion industry. The ideal candidate is responsible for helping to manage our brand social media accounts including Instagram and Tik Tok. They will curate captivating content and copy to uplift our brand awareness, showcasing our events, products, and services alongside exciting fashion events worldwide and pop culture moments. We’re seeking interns experienced in cultivating followings, discovering relevant hashtags, optimizing posting times, engaging through comments, and exploring innovative marketing strategies to connect with our audience. Current stockists include: Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Mr. Porter, Matches Fashion, The Webster Miami and many other domestic and international doors.
Core Qualities Required:
● A current student or recently graduated from university
● Detail oriented and highly organized
● 10-15 hours per week, flexible times but must have availability between 9-6pm on Weekdays
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Instagram, Tik Tok and Shopify savvy
● The ability to work independently in order to meet deadlines
● Knowledge of Microsoft Office
● Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Ecommerce Operations Responsibilities
● Familiarity with Shopify platforms
● Liaising between the founder and retail account contacts
● Manage stock and sample product inventory
● Perform competitive market research
● Drive traffic via Google Ads words, Instagram/Facebook Ads
● An interest in and knowledge of marketing and social media practices
● Assist with public relations appointments and interviews
● Support influencer gifting activities
Social Media Responsibilities
● Research competitor social media accounts and compare account performance
● Regularly track social analytics and share findings with the wider team to find opportunities for optimizing social media engagement and growth
● Create a content idea bank for new clothing drops, promotions, shopping holidays, etc.
● Provides support with the creation of social media content and scheduling
● Research current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
● Tech savvy and proficient in creating & uploading content, editing video and posting to SM channels such as Instagram, Facebook & TikTok
● Composing creative captions that connect with our audience is a plus!
