The Mary Jane flat boom of 2023 doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon, and if you ask me, holiday parties are the perfect occasion to (continue to) bust them out.
When I was perusing Loeffler Randall’s new pieces, the brand’s Ginger Black Moiré Mary Janes instantly caught my eye, both for their versatility and their inherent party-readiness: Despite being simple black ballet flats with a buckle and an almond-shaped toe, there’s something about the sheen of the moiré fabric and the piping around the edge gives them an elevated, celebration-appropriate vibe. I can’t imagine a more comfortable option to pair with a cozy sweater and roomy pants on Thanksgiving or with something sparkly for New Year’s Eve.
