Down below, the Abzorb midsole has been completely blacked out on both sneakers, and it’s infused with N-Ergy tech for additional comfort and bounciness. The 1906R has had one helluva year. Originally released in 2009, over the past 10 months, some of streetwear’s biggest names have taken on the Y2K silhouette, including Aimé Leon Dore and Auralee. Copenhagen’s very own Ganni also worked on a Taylor Swift-approved pair recently.
The Comme des Garçons x New Balance 1906R is set to release on October 27 at Dover Street Market, New Balance, and select stockists globally. Priced at $265 each, it’ll come packed in a special edition shoebox.
