This summer, the label is introducing yet another sure-to-be-a-hit: Chance Eau Fraîche eau de parfum. The scent is the work of Chanel’s in-house perfumer Olivier Polge, who sought to add depth and intensity to the pre-existing eau de toilette. He maintained the jasmine at the heart of the fragrance, but accentuated it with citrusy zest and rich ambery accords. Described as fresh and woody, expect this invigorating scent to linger on the skin. In New York City? Powered by 100% mineral SPF 50 (zinc oxide 12%) plus a host of botanical oils and extracts, holi(sun) delivers sun protection, lightweight wear, and natural-dewy finish that will translate well into fall.
Merit Solo Shadow Cream-to-Powder Soft Matte Eyeshadow
Maybe it’s just me, or is eyeshadow the hardest part of a makeup regimen to master? Dare I say, the cut creases and statement eye looks that defined the 2010s felt a little outdated for my current beauty look. I haven’t created an eyeshadow look in years—a sentiment the beauty professionals at Merit anticipated. With Solo Shadow, one can blend its cream-to-powder pigments for a wash of effortless, ’90s-inspired color. There are eight shades to choose from—four nude-hued neutrals perfect for every day and four statement pigments, from Social, a powdery mauve, to Viper, an earthy green.

Should fragrance be backed by science? Vyrao says yes. When founder Yasmin Sewell sought to create a scent for mindfulness, she enlisted a team of experts—her long-time psychic medium Katt Nicholson, perfumer and trained biochemist Meabh Mc Curtin, and International Flavor & Fragrances Inc.’s Science of Wellness program—for a holistic approach to understanding the connection between the mind and scent. Saie’s latest launch is everything a modern lip gloss should be: high-shine, non-sticky, and insanely hydrating. Its conditioning properties come by way of jojoba seed oil, hyaluronic acid, and shea butter, which helps keep lips plump and soft. Even its shades feel contemporary—less early aughts, more sophisticated, your-lips-but-shiner. My favorite? Shade Dip—a dusty rose hue sure to complement any skin tone.
Topicals Sealed Active Scar Filling Primer
Topicals is the cool-girl beauty line to know. Following its cult-favorite Faded serum and High Roller in-grown salve, founder Olamide Olowe introduces Sealed Active Scar Primer. A solution for pitted acne scars and enlarged pores, the primer contains encapsulated retinol, medical-grade silicone, peptides, and papain to reduce the appearance of post-acne scars and indents over time. I find this especially useful before makeup—its silky, blurring texture is optimal. “Perfect” skin is not the goal here; but rather, feeling good about the skin you’re in.
Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder Blush 12H Radiance
Are we experiencing a powder blush resurgence? While creamy pigments took over 2022, this year, we’re revisiting soft-focused hues to diffuse the skin in a wash of color atop foundation. Formulas old and new are fair game here. Of the new entrants, Givenchy’s Prisme Libre blush has captured our attention. At first glance, you’ll notice each of the six shades offers four harmonious blush colors; this looks très chic on a vanity but also gives you the option to choose which colors to blend. Applying is as simple as swirling your brush in the cap and dusting blush where you’d like it. Better yet, because the powder is finely milled, this feels weightless on the skin.
Herbivore Cloud Milk Coconut + Maca Firming Cream
My body care regimen is ever-changing simply because new, intriguing products hit the market before I have time to get through a bottle of lotion. I guess we’re finally embracing the notion that we should treat the skin on the body like that of the face. In any case, Herbivore’s Cloud Milk is the latest launch I’ve been gravitating towards (and eagerly recommending to friends). As the name suggests, the cream is whipped into an impeccably lightweight, cloud-like texture that manages to still be moisturizing. We have coconut, maca, and vegan squalane to thank for that. Lather on a bit post-shower to lock in moisture and firm skin over time.
