The Best Looks From the 2023 Venice Film Festival

The festival circuit isn’t what it normally is, with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA still on strike (support creatives currently out of work!) and the studios pushing release dates for some of the most highly-anticipated movies on the horizon as a result. However, the proverbial show goes on in Venice, where the annual film festival kicked off on Wednesday.

Certain projects on the lineup, like Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla,” have received waivers from SAG that give its members permission to promote the project if they wish — though, it’s still unclear if the actors will show up to do press, even with that. Still, festival organizers rolled out the red carpet, and a range of models, influencers and other fashionable figures showed up to walk down it on opening night.
