Each month, Fashionista editors try a *lot* of beauty products. And while not every formula we test is a winner, we’re constantly unearthing new favorites. Here, we’ve rounded up our latest hair, skin, fragrance, wellness and makeup discoveries — whether fresh-to-market drops or merely recent additions to our personal routines.
We’re venturing further into the holiday season now that Thanksgiving feasts and Black Friday shopping sprees are behind us, but before we fully embrace the season’s festivities, we’re looking back on our favorite beauty products that graced our routines this November.
Some standout discoveries include a glossy, your-lips-but-better lip balm, a compact-yet-luxurious four-pan eyeshadow palette for the perfect smoky eye and lightweight stylers that tame flyaway hairs without waxy residue.
Since the cold air isn’t going away anytime soon, we’re also showing our skin some much-needed love with hydrating face creams and cleansing balms that don’t leave eyes cloudy. Even though many of us have been wrapped up in cozy knits this month, we kept our entire bodies moisturized with the help of a smoothing turmeric scrub, strengthening nail and cuticle oil and a hand wash packed with shea butter, coconut oil and almond oil.
Keep scrolling to see (and shop!) all of our favorite November beauty finds.
Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm in Spice, $10, available here: “The tinted versions of Naturium’s intensely smoothing, glossy lip balm have been sold out — and with good reason. For only $10 a pop, they pack a moisturizing formula of shea butter, squalane and cupuaçu butter to cushion lips and impart beautiful shine, either alone or over lipstick or liner. I’m obsessed with the warm, pinkish-brown tint of the shade ‘Spice,’ which gives that perfect my-lips-but-better effect. I’d recommend hopping on that waitlist for the re-stock, stat.” —Stephanie Saltzman, Beauty Director
Esker Body Plane, $45, available here: “Despite sort of looking like a (beautiful) weapon, this is actually a surprisingly gentle exfoliation-and-massage tool. Post-shower, you just apply a body oil (this brand has some great ones) to damp skin and glide it across the body to scrape off dead skin, making for an extra luxurious component to the ‘everything shower.'” —Dhani Mau, Editor-in-chief
Hustle Butter Deluxe Luxury Tattoo Care & Maintenance Cream, $22, available here: “I started using this all-natural aftercare cream on my recent tattoos and I totally get why it’s an industry favorite. The mix of shea, mango and aloe butters helps me heal without irritation, and I love that it doesn’t have any petroleum.” —Liza Sokol, Sr. Audience Development Manager
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder, $48, available here: “This powder is genuinely the secret ingredient to my makeup. Designed like a mini clutch handbag with a YSL logo appliqué, it’s a luxurious addition to my makeup bag. Plus, it includes all the necessary colors for a neutral-toned smoky eye.” —Andrea Bossi, Staff Writer
CeraVe SA Body Wash, $14, available here: “I’m officially hooked on this unassuming skin-smoothing drugstore body wash for its gentle exfoliating abilities — and I’m not the only one who has noticed its impact: Multiple people who hugged me at my wedding commented on the softness of my arms (a compliment I never knew I wanted, but will accept nonetheless).” —Steph
HPPY Skin Refresh Fridge-Fresh Cryo-Facial Mask, $56, available here: “This cucumber-scented mask makes me feel like I’m having the facial Mia Thermopolis gets in ‘The Princess Diaries’— you know, the one where it smells so good she literally eats the cucumber sitting on her eye? This thick clay-based formula gives me that exact same energy: It smells amazing, feels refreshing and leaves my skin non-irritated and soft.” —Brooke
Emi Jay Angelstick, $38, available here: “This flyaway smoothing balm comes in an easy-to-use stick component with a buildable formula that offers more hold the more you swipe it — all without leaving hair waxy or crunchy. Instead, you just get super soft sleekness. Whether my hair is slicked back or styled down, I’ve been using it daily to keep stray hairs in check.” —Savannah Sitton, Contributing Market Editor
Kristin Ess Deep Clean Clarifying Shampoo, $13 $9, available here: “I’ve gone through multiple brands over the past few months in search of a shampoo that actually addresses my oily hair, but after trying this formula, I think I’ve finally found the perfect fit. My scalp feels refreshingly clean, and I can go longer between hair-wash days without worrying about excess oil buildup. Not to mention it also smells absolutely amazing.” —Catie Pusateri, Contributing Writer

I didn’t change anything in my regular skin-care routine other than switching to this wash, and I started to notice my skin healing after just a week. I love that the formula is a super thick gel-like texture that I can foam up for a deep cleanse, but still doesn’t leave any sticky residue after washing it off.” —Brooke
Ouai St. Barts Moisturizing Body Cream, $38, available here: “So obsessed with this body lotion. It’s perfect for the winter when my skin feels so dry and unloved.” —Olivia Novato, Contributing Writer

Leaf & Flower CBD Tame & Fix Flyaway Stick, $20, available here: “My fine, puffy hair texture, combined with some recent re-growth, has made for a perfect storm of flyaways lately. I’ve been turning to this alcohol-free, lightweight styling serum to help tamp them down and seal them in place without leaving behind a hint of slickness, stiffness or volume-thwarting heaviness. I even brought the mascara-like tube with me for touch-ups during my wedding reception — and then wound up using it to MacGuyver my half-up look into a sleek late-night ponytail after things got sweaty on the dance floor. It totally saved me!” —Steph

Quickies Grunge Girl Press On Nails, $22, available here: “Press-on nails have come a long way since the generic ones I used as a kid. Case in point: Quickies makes trendy sets in cool shapes and current designs that I’d actually choose at the nail salon. Tape stickers and nail glue might last a couple of weeks, but I make them stay put extra long by adhering each nail with clear gel polish and curing them on as you would a Gel X manicure.” —Savannah
Hero Cosmetics Force Shield Superlight Sunscreen SPF 30, $20, available here: “This sunscreen has a slight green tint that helps cancel out minor redness, feels lightweight on my skin and doesn’t irritate my eyes (a major plus as a sunscreen slatherer.)” —Catie
Phlur Vanilla Skin Hair & Body Mist, $35, available here: “I’ve been a vanilla perfume girlie since my days of dousing myself in Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace as an early-aughts teen. This body mist is like an elevated, more adult (albeit still accessibly priced) version of it, balancing the creamy gourmand note with hints of pink pepper, sandalwood and cashmere.” —Steph
