admin Upon entry to the Puppets and Puppets Spring 2024 runway show, attendees were met with little animatronic stuffed animals, dancing to the sounds of “Careless Whisper” by George Michael — performed by John Ajilo, the beloved saxophonist of New York City subway stations.
In some of these animals’ hands were mini versions of the Puppets and Puppets signature cookie-adorned bags, foreshadowing an accessory-forward collection and show.
While the clothing that came down the runway is voluminous, diversely textured and sparkle-adorned, the real eye-catchers were the new additions to the brand’s ever-growing family of object-focused bags. They include a silver tarantula at the center of the brand’s classic top-handle silhouette, a spoon bent to create a moon-shaped bag’s handle and a banana with a leather strap tied around each end to create a very impractical, but fun bag.
