On Tuesday, Jean Paul Gaultier announced its latest haute couture guest designer: Simone Rocha.
The 37-year-old will be the sixth creative to create a couture collection for the brand, following Julien Dossena of Rabanne, Haider Ackermann, Olivier Rousteing of Balmain and others. It’ll debut on the runway in January 2024, during Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris.

After Rocha showed her eponymous label’s Spring 2024 collection in London on Sunday, Gaultier sent the designer a bouquet of florals with a note that read: “Congratulations for your show!!! And see you for your next one… in Paris!!!” The message concluded with a small sketch of himself, alongside his signature.
Known for her voluminous, ultra-feminine and romantic designs, Rocha will certainly present an haute couture collection that melds her vision with Gaultier’s edgier silhouettes.
