Selena Gomez Wore Three Outfits to the Inaugural Rare Impact Fund Benefit

On Wednesday evening, Selena Gomez hosted the first Rare Impact Fund Benefit, a gala to support the Rare Impact Fund, which she founded alongside Rare Beauty in 2020 as a youth-focused non-profit organization committed to destigmatizing conversations about mental health and donating to charities that help people gain access to mental health services. (One percent of all Rare Beauty sales are donated to the fund.)

The event included musical performances from artists like H.E.R. and Marshmello, with Gomez’s “Only Murders In The Building” co-star Martin Short serving as emcee. There was also a live auction of items donated by Gomez’s famous friends: tickets to Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour, a movie night with Paul Rudd, a signed Lionel Messi jersey and more.

Though the gala was primarily about supporting the cause, to not acknowledge the “Single Soon” singer’s three captivating outfits throughout the night would be, well, just wrong. Styled by Erin Walsh, Gomez arrived wearing a custom sequined and crystal-embroidered silver gown with an on-trend rosette detail by Valentino, paired with statement Messika earrings.

After making her way inside, she returned to the step-and-repeat, only this time in a mini dress from Rahul Mishra’s Fall 2023 Couture collection. Mishra posted a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the garment to Instagram, noting that it “aims to imitate the petals of an Iris flower through intricate hand embroidery.”

For her third and final look, Gomez shed the sequins in favor of a velvet bodycon mini from Monse. The long sleeve, mock turtleneck silhouette certainly made a statement of its own, with its zebra, botanical and other nature-inspired motifs.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Selena Gomez red carpet moment without Rare Beauty: The multihyphenate’s entire makeup look was crafted by Melissa Murdick using the brand.
