After four years off the New York Fashion Week calendar, Ralph Lauren returned on Friday evening, with a wide array of statement looks and a star-studded front row (Sofia Richie, Emma Roberts and Jennifer Lopez were in attendance, just to name a few).
The designer’s Spring 2024 collection didn’t veer far from the tailored Americana themes he’s built the brand to represent. In fact, that concept was only exaggerated by the various interpretations of denim on the runway, including acid-washed floral-printed jeans, denim cargos shredded to reveal a mesh underlay surrounded by embroidered crystals, corseted vests and more. There was also formal evening wear arguing that the silver trend is out and shiny gold metallics are very much in.
