Poster Girl's Viral Spring 2024 Campaign Featuring City Girls' JT Is About 'Feminine Rebellion'

Who’s going to the courthouse in a G-string? Poster Girl.

The viral Spring 2024 campaign is all about fashion girls and the law. Photographed by Moni Haworth at and around New York City’s Supreme Court, the campaign stars rapper JT from the City Girls and Alana Champion. With purple acrylic nails and a Starbucks drink in hand, JT dodges paparazzi outside the courthouse. In other shots, a model places her hand on the Bible or runs for a taxi with gobs of stolen jewelry in hand.

Creatively led by Francesca Capper and Natasha Somerville, Spring 2024 is “a nod to the Winonas, Lindseys and Britneys of the early aughts whose scandals intrigued us and a wink at the end of a dichotomous display of feminine rebellion,” per the collection notes. Each campaign shot is made to be reminiscent in some way of real-life images or moments, like Naomi Campbell’s day in court (when she iconially said, “This is a big inconvenience for me”) or even Megan Thee Stallion’s more recent purple court outfit.

The upcoming collection “explores what often evades the modern concept of femininity — sexual prowess and criminal-level confidence,” according to the brand. Colorways are intentionally named “harlot” and “virgin.” Shapewear “moonlights as provocative daywear.” Cutouts and proportion play gives typical bodysuits and crop tops a Poster Girl-esque twist. In the campaign, each gaudy piece is juxtaposed against the plain, baggy uniforms of lawyers, judges and police.
