Last night, Paloma Elsesser and Lynette Nylander welcomed 16Arlington to the city of New York with a very chic dinner party. Hosted at Tiwa Gallery down in Tribeca, New York’s fashion scene gathered to show Marco Capaldo, designer of 16Arlington, just how special this city can be.
“Ever since we both met Marco, we’ve been not only devoted fans of him but of 16Arlington. It’s for women like us. One that likes to work hard and play hard and we wanted to have an intimate dinner that introduced our community here in New York to our favorite London pal,” Nylander told Vogue. Elsesser and Nylander picked Tiwa Gallery to host the dinner, where chef Devonn Francis prepared a perfect meal of fusion cuisine for everyone to enjoy together. Guests included Naomi Elizee, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Alex Consani, Alex Tieghi Walker, Chase Hall, Lauren Rodriguez Hall, and Ludovic Nkoth.
“Celebrating friendship and community are central tenets of my values, and last night was just that,” said Elsesser. “I feel so grateful to invite my dearest Marco of 16Arlington into the fold of our New York community.” It seemed word of the gathering began to spread as, later into the evening, Tyler Mitchell, Ben Ganz, Rana Toofanian, and Olive Uniacke rolled in to enjoy the rest of the event.
“I experienced the warmest welcome to New York through the lenses of two of my closest friends, Paloma and Lynette,” Marco told Vogue. “Bringing together old friends, meeting new friends, and making memories with a group of truly inspirational, talented, and kind people.”
