New Balance Reveals Athletic Club’s 22/23 Home Kit
31st MAY 22 New Balance has today unveiled Athletic Club’s new home kit for the 2022/23 season.
The beauty of tradition is the inspiration behind the latest design, with the Basque club’s famous racing red and white stripes amplified through delicate kit details and the Ikurrina flag on the back of the neck.
The new home shirt also adds a raised neck collar and cuff sleeves in black, whilst matching knitted shorts and socks complete the look. The Goalkeeper kit is in traditional black and has been developed in line with the outfield players’ jerseys.
Star Striker Inaki Williams said: “The new jersey is great, it’s a classic design which celebrates our great history. It means a lot to the people here to see us proudly wear the red and white of Athletic Club, so I am certain the fans will love the design as much as we do”.
General Manager of New Balance Football, Kenny McCallum, added: “There are no other clubs in the world with the tradition and philosophy of Athletic Club. This year’s design is heavily influenced by that legacy and begins a strong collection for the Club’s 22/23 season.”
The release is part of New Balance’s ‘Born, Bred, Basque” campaign for Athletic Club, in celebration of Los Leones’ connection to family, philosophy, and culture. The creative is guided by international photographer, Justin Bettman, who worked alongside the brand to help showcase the connection between the new design, the club, and its ties to the city.
New Balance Football has employed cutting-edge design technology across all 22/23 jerseys to ensure superior performance. Developed using innovative NB Dry technology to help keep players fresh and dry from the first to the final whistle. A jacquard ventilation system is also included to promote optimum comfort on the elite shirt.
The New Balance Athletic Club 22/23 Home kit including elite player and replica jerseys are available to order now and will be available at www.newbalance.com/football (US residents) and www.newbalance.co.uk/football (UK residents) and in New Balance stores worldwide from 31st May.
