The Fabletics collection is full of high-waisted leggings, low backs, and skintight bodysuits—made in the image of what Kardashian herself wants to wear to work out. “If I feel really cute in the gym, it really makes me want to go and work out. So I do think investing in good workout clothes motivates you,” she says. For her, fashion and function are tantamount. Of her leggings, specifically, she says: “They are still gym appropriate, they hold everything, but you could really wear them out with a pair of heels.”
When it comes to her Fabletics collab, don’t ask her if she has a favorite piece—Kardashian loves all her leggings equally. “Whenever people ask me (that), it’s like picking favorite children,” she says. “Which people do have, I’ve learned.”
Although leggings are a constant staple in Kardashian’s wardrobe (these days she’s into weight training and boxing, and wants to pick Pilates back up), she knows that trying out new styles requires confidence. “I try not to follow a lot of trends because I’ve done that when I was younger and I sometimes looked ridiculous because I wasn’t confident. You could wear anything and if you exude confidence, people believe you,” she says.
Some personal regrets that pushed her to swear off trends? “Anything from when the neon-colored jeans were in. And why was I wearing these or fringe sandals? I don’t even like sandals like that. But when the boho style was thriving, I would be like, I want to wear that too, just because everyone was wearing them,” she says. “But I’m not the boho girl, and I think you just have to know some trends are cute, but they’re just not for you.”
