Informa Markets Fashion, the organizer behind leading events such as Coterie, Magic, Project, and Sourcing at Magic, has appointed Purvi Kanji as the new vice president of its contemporary fashion wholesale event Coterie.
A seasoned and experienced industry professional, Kanji holds a proven track record of transforming brands into market leaders, having previously served as director of brand strategy at Place Showroom. In her former role, she focused on brand building, where she contributed significantly to sales, marketing, and operations.
“Purvi’s extensive experience in the women’s contemporary market makes her the ideal leader to guide Coterie and lend an incredible perspective to the business,” said Kelly Helfman, president of Informa Markets Fashion in a statement. “Her background as a brand builder and connector brings a new, innovative approach that will continue to establish Coterie as the future of fashion.”
A consistent presence at Coterie over the last 11 years, in her new role, Kanji will focus on further developing meaningful relationships within the fashion industry, bringing in a dynamic blend of brands and retailers to Coterie to create a platform that successfully reflects the industry while anticipating future trends to come.
