When actor Margaret Qualley wed musician and producer Jack Antonoff last weekend in a quiet New Jersey ceremony (well, quiet, if you disregard the rabid paparazzi and Swifties hoping to catch a glimpse of guest Taylor Swift), it was no surprise that the famously chic actor would divert from some traditions on her wedding day. In a pleasant deviation from the norm, Qualley opted for sweet flats over a more traditional heel.
Qualley’s white Mary Janes featured a minuscule heel and beading on the vamp, which matched the beaded neckline of her first wedding look, a silky halter sheath dress. The hem of her dress tactfully hit her ankle, leaving plenty of room to show off her bright white flats. The childlike shoe, in contrast with the slinky wedding dress, made for a marriage of quirky and sophisticated that Qualley emulates in her personal style and red carpet looks alike.
For the after-party, the Maid actor changed into a precious tea-length dress complete with a drop waist, elbow-length puff sleeves, and thick stripes across the skirt. While, like many brides nowadays, she wore a second look for the reception, the bride noticeably wore her ceremony flats all night. With one of the music industry’s most powerful producers as a husband and scores of famous singers as wedding guests, it’s a safe bet that she danced all night long.
