“Barbie” collaborations have taken over every part of our lives, with brands from Crocs to Coldstone Creamery to XBox releasing pink product. You’d think we’d be pink-ed out at this point, but then Vans announced it’s taking a trip to BarbieLand, and we’ve been sucked back in.
Releasing on Thursday, July 27, the Vans x Barbie collection mixes the brand’s skate sensibilities with the doll’s signature color palette. There are four footwear styles: a Sk8-Hi Tapered Stackform, an Authentic Stackform, a bow-adorned 93 DX and a Slide-On VR3Crush in a swirling multi-colored pattern. The apparel silhouettes skews ’90s, with a lettuce-edged crop top, a hot-pink crewneck, a graphic tee with vintage Barbies and pink overalls. There’s also a pink-strapped mini backpack decked out in a trippy pattern.
