Hailey Bieber's Rhode Is Getting Into Color Cosmetics

Since its debut last year, Hailey Bieber’s Rhode has put all its focus on thoroughly glazing every bit of our skin-care routines, but it’s officially set its sights on our makeup bags.

On Thursday, the brand announced its first foray into the color cosmetics category via the introduction of its Peptide Lip Tint, a tinted version of its bestselling Peptide Lip Treatment. Where the Peptide Lip Treatment is clear, glossy and (duh) peptide-infused, with a range of different scents — Vanilla, Watermelon Slice, Salted Caramel and Strawberry, currently — the Lip Tint is pigmented (but still slightly sheer), glossy and peptide-infused (though, notably, unscented).

Set to launch on Sept. 28, the Lip Tints come in four shades designed to be worn alone, with lip liner or layered over lipstick: Ribbon (a baby pink), Toast (a creamy pinkish-beige), Espresso (a deep brown) and Raspberry Jelly (a vibrant magenta).

“One of my favorite things about our new Peptide Lip Tint is that I get the same nourishing formula as our Peptide Lip Treatment, but with a hint of color,” Bieber said, in a statement. “We spent years formulating to get the perfect four shades that I’m obsessed with to wear running around during the day or for a night out.”

In honor of the makeup launch, Rhode created a campaign featuring its founder, Hailey Bieber (wearing the Ribbon shade), who has appeared in all of its previous imagery. But it also tapped model Precious Lee to pose in the Raspberry Jelly shade.
