Ganni and New Balance’s Copenhagen Fashion Week After-Party Had Karaoke, a Butter Bucket, and a Killer DJ | Vogue

Ditte Reffstrup knows how to get a party started. On Thursday, not long after the Ganni spring 2024 show—which featured an AI-powered soundtrack—Copenhagen Fashion Week’s annual hottest party kicked off with models, influencers, and friends alike skipping the veggie feast and butter bucket altogether to hit the dance floor.

For the third season in a row, the after-party was hosted at chef Frederik Bille Brahe’s culinary destination Apollo Bar, located on the cobblestone grounds of the Royal Arts Academy. This time, a certain shade of vibrant yellow covered the courtyard. The tables featured playful Ganni x New Balance branded tablecloths with illustrations by The New Yorker cartoonist Suerynn Lee, followed by another layer of yellow decor: newspapers created by Are We On Air? host and the night’s closing DJ, Arman Naféei.

Naféei is a vibe curator called upon by some of the biggest brands under the sun—so it’s little wonder Ganni tapped him to bring their fashion week wrap party to the next level. He and Reffstrup were a match made in dancefloor heaven, with Arman behind the ones and twos and Ditte on top of the bar.

If you could squeeze your way through the crowd inside Apollo, you might find artist Lukas Højlund behind a tattoo gun, or Ganni collaborator and this season’s runway opener Paloma Elsesser on the mic in the hidden karaoke room. It all made for a sort of choose-your-own-adventure party—and a perfectly raucous close to Copenhagen Fashion Week.
