We’re thankful for many things this November: Harry Styles’ buzz cut, Timothée Chalamet’s “Wonka” press tour looks, the resurgence of our “Hunger Games” obsession, to name a few. We’re not thankful for the sun setting around 5 p.m., but team Fashionista isn’t letting the shortened days dampen their style.
To power through the seasonal slump, we’re reaching for cozy sweaters, classic joggers and toasty pullovers that we plan on dressing up for holiday parties or down for a much-needed night-in. We’re also gravitating towards bright colors to make up for the dwindling hours of sunshine, while not straying too far from our beloved (and timeless) neutrals.
Keep scrolling to see (and shop!) all of our November favorites.
Babaton The Slouch Coat, $398, available here (sizes XXS-XXL): “I’ve finally filled a major hole in my wardrobe: an oversized black wool coat to throw on over anything. It’s a perfect accompaniment to dressier outfits but can also elevate a cozy sweatsuit or other casual look. Plus, the relaxed cut means it can accommodate even the chunkiest sweater if necessary — and that it looks intentionally slouchy and not just ‘too big’ (as most coats tend to be when you’re 5’2″).” —Dhani Mau, Editor-in-Chief
Sandy Liang x Little Beast Jiji Tote Bag, $149, available here: “Little Beast has really been coming for me as of late, with its human-and-pet outfits. Out of its collaboration with Sandy Liang, though, the item that stood out to me was its bow-decked tote bag, which would be perfect for toting one of my girls comfortably around the city. (Their other tote bag is Opening Ceremony.)” —Ana Colón, Deputy Editor
Mac Duggal Sequin Embellished One Shoulder Asymmetrical Gown, $400, available here (Size 12-20): “Mac Duggal kindly loaned me this dress for a wedding (you might know her), and I got so many compliments from strangers, it boosted my confidence for weeks after.” —Liza Sokol, Sr. Audience Development Manager

Flore Flore Brown Esmé Tank Top, $85, available here (sizes XS-XL): “This may seem pricey for a tank top, but immediately after unboxing it, I was genuinely in awe of the quality (it’s 100% organic cotton) and fit. It reminds me of an Old J.Crew tank I’ve had for 10+ years that’s still in perfect condition. They literally don’t make ’em like this anymore, and this definitely won’t be my last purchase from Flore Flore.” —Dhani

Dunst Merino Wool V Neck Sweater, $195, available here (sizes XS-L): “At the risk of sounding incredibly boring, I’ve been looking for the perfect slightly-chunky V-neck wool grey sweater for years, and I’ve finally found it. I’ll be wearing it with a white T-shirt and slouchy Levi’s all winter long, while trying to stop myself from buying more of this brand’s perfectly simple sweaters.” —Dhani
Calvin Klein Refined Stretch Unlined Blazer, $269 $100, available here (sizes XS-L): “I must admit: I hadn’t thought about Calvin Klein’s apparel offering in a minute — but the brand announcing Jung Kook as a global ambassador changed that very quickly. At a recent preview, I browsed the men’s section at the team’s suggestion, and picked out a black blazer that has a boxy, oversized fit on me. I’ve worn it on Zooms and Fireside chats, with knits and T-shirts alike. With the sleeves pushed up to my elbows, it gives me the easy blazer look I’ve always wanted but felt didn’t work on me (and made me look like I was a child dressing up as an adult… versus an actual adult.)” —Ana
