After years of balletcore seemingly dominating the fashion conversation by way of boleros, baby pink and pointelle, the trend’s signature footwear has finally caught up, and we’re seeing ballet flats everywhere.
From Miu Miu’s very literal satin reference to the dance shoe, to Jil Sander’s leather and pointed version, the practical footwear is already a favorite of New York Fashion Week showgoers. Many styled them with maxi silhouettes like daytime gowns and drop-waist skirts throughout the day.
