Clooney toured the Venetian canals in a black skater dress and tan flats. But while the look may appear simple at first glance, it’s overflowing with detail. Take the cable knit on Amal’s black dress, which elevates it from basic to a transitional staple. Zoom in on her pointed toe shoes and notice that they’re actually woven.
When it came to accessorizing her look, the barrister kept it simple. In keeping with her woven theme, she carried a slouchy rattan crossbody bag, which she coordinated with her gold watch’s tan strap. She tied it all together with a sweet heart necklace and a pair of aviators. For his part, George Clooney also stayed on the low-key side, wearing a navy polo, light khaki pants, and tan boat shoes. This pared down look is a huge departure from the Clooneys’ extravagant night out at the DVF Awards. While Amal Clooney wore a vintage John Galliano Christian Dior dress from spring 2000, George kept all the attention on his accomplished wife, opting for a black suit and navy button-down.
