Last night, Edward Enninful and Vanessa Kingori celebrated activist Munroe Bergdorf, actor Gemma Chan, musician Little Simz, England footballer Mary Earps, and boxer Ramla Ali as some of British culture’s most essential changemakers. First launched in British Vogue’s September 2019 issue—guest-edited by the Duchess of Sussex—Forces for Change was established with the explicit intention of spotlighting the individuals across fashion, politics, sport, activism, and sustainability who are driving positive change.
But it was also an excuse to wear nice clothes at The Maine Mayfair and toast industry peers with glasses of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Laurent Perrier, and Seventy One Gin. And so: guests including Chioma Nnadi, Alexa Chung, Jourdan Dunn, and Leomie Anderson stepped onto the Blooming Haus-crafted red carpet—backdropped to the meditative sounds of 4STRINGSZ—dressed in vintage eBay finds. Also on the guest list? Lila Moss, Maya Jama, Sarah Burton, Baz Luhrmann, Sheila Atim, and Rita Ora.
