Lately, I’ve been indulging in the perks of an AMC Stubs membership. If you have one, too — or simply went to see “Barbie” or “Oppenheimer” (or “Barbenheimer”) at the movie theater chain — you know that each screening is preceded by a now-iconic video starring Nicole Kidman, in which she gives an airy spiel about the “magic” of “this place.” She wears a black-and-silver rhinestone-pinstriped Michael Kors suit from Fall 2021, a cool look that’s been recreated time and time again by TikTokers pretending to be Kidman. For those who aren’t going to chase down the exact Michael Kors style on resale sites or DIY the suit, there’s a practically identical option to shop.

Maybe Isabel Deng didn’t have Kidman in mind when designing this Miss Circle suit, but the parallels are obvious, the and lined with dazzling pinstripes. The blazer can be worn as a deep-cut top with nothing underneath or paired with a blouse; it’s not double-breasted with a belt at the waist, like Kidman’s, but it’s pretty damn close. Since the pieces are sold separately, it’s possible to only opt in for one, though I prefer the full look in all its bold glamour. (Don’t want the full suit, but still want to honor Kidman’s monologue? Fashion Brand Company made a dress with every word written out in rhinestones that I’m also obsessed with.)
Respectfully, Nicole, I don’t think heartbreak feels good anywhere, but it probably would feel better in a power suit like this. Keep scrolling to shop both pieces.
