Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world’s eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We’ll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, “Meghan Markle Wore a Thing.”
On Tuesday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived in New York City to attend an event for their organization, the Archewell Foundation — specifically, a summit dedicated to “wellness in the digital age” as it pertains to modern parenting. Apparently the Duchess of Sussex wasn’t the least bit intimidated by the monsoon-y weather we’ve been having on the East Coast lately, because she showed up for the occasion in a crisp cream pantsuit, paired with a sleek updo.
The modern pantsuit by Altuzarra features a unique foldover blazer with an off-the-shoulder neckline, making it equal parts business-ready and stylish. She paired it with a pair of bespoke Sarah Hendler earrings, her go-to Aquazzura nude pointy-toe heels and a vintage choker necklace.
While Markle’s specific jacket is unfortunately no longer available for purchase at most retailers, a similar (but less structured) take on it — complete with a wraparound sash at the waist, also by Altuzarra — is currently on sale for 20% off at Net-A-Porter.
