If you’ve seen Red, White & Royal Blue, you’ll know that Taylor Zakhar Perez’s character, Alex Claremont-Diaz (who happens to be the son of the fictional president of the United States…and the soon-to-be love interest of a British prince), causes a bit of a ruckus when he first arrives in London. True to form, when the actor Zakhar Perez hopped across the pond this week to celebrate this year’s Vogue World event in London, he stirred things up—except this time, it was all thanks to his fashion choices on the red carpet. No cake involved.
The actor hit the rose-festooned red carpet at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane wearing a white, loose-collared Oxford shirt with an undone waistcoat, wide-legged navy trousers, and smart black leather shoes. The look, from British designer Daniel W. Fletcher’s fall 2023 collection, feels relaxed and romantic. There’s a bit of a modern-day Fabio element here, befitting the buzzy heartthrob at the center of this past summer’s biggest streaming romcom.
“I must confess to having watched Red, White & Royal Blue multiple times so I was thrilled when Taylor said he wanted to wear DWF for Vogue World: London,” the designer told Vogue. “Nicholas Galitzine (who plays Prince Henry) has been a regular in the collections so I’m hoping that makes me a good candidate to design some Red, White & Royal Blue wedding suits!” Is that a spoiler? If so, don’t tell me!
