Fashion week always means parties, but London played host to a particularly special celebration on the eve of the shows, after Vogue took over Theatre Royal Drury Lane to stage a West End production like no other, complete with supermodels, surprise performances, and lots and lots of fashion.
After Vogue World: London came to a close (but not before swinging past Gucci’s cocktail bar and the Burberry pub – ephemeral venues conjured inside London’s oldest working theatre on the night), VIP guests were whisked to private members club George in Mayfair, where British Vogue partnered with Moncler to host an exclusive Vogue World party decked out with Blooming Haus florals
The collaboration was well-timed. Just as Vogue staged a fashion fantasia that honored Britain’s artistic heritage, Moncler is looking back on its own storied past. The latest drop in its Re/Icons collection is a reimagining of the brand’s Karakorum jacket, originally produced in 1954. The jackets were spied in the crowd on more than one celebrity guest at George, with a Don Julio 1942 cocktail being the other standout accessory on the dance floor.
